**Tuesday Folders**
Tuesday folders will be sent home every week. Please make sure you are checking the folder for graded papers, important information, and that you are signing the conduct sheet and sending it back to school with them on Wednesday.

**Interactive Student Notebooks (ISN's)**
We will be using our ISN's every day! It is very important that your student keeps up with their ISN and that they keep it updated. We will take notes and do practice problems daily. I will check their ISN's either once a week, or every two weeks, to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing; this will be counted as a daily grade. At the end of each grading period, I will check it again for a major grade.

All homework is due the next class day unless otherwise stated. If a student is absent the day the homework is due, they will turn it in whenever they return to school. It will not be counted as late.

**Late Work**
Late work will be 10 points off each day for up to 3 days. After 3 days, a '0' will be given for the assignment and the student will no longer be able to turn it in. It is very important that your student turns their work in on time.

If a student is absent, I highly encourage them to come see me in the morning to get notes and work from the day they were out, or you may print them from the webpage. All work will be posted same day and stay up until the following Monday. School doors open at 8:00 a.m.; they are more than welcome to come back to my classroom then, as long as I do not have a meeting that day. For each day a student is absent, they have 2 days to make up any work they missed.

Daily grades are 40%, and Major grades are 60%. Please note that there will no longer be a 'homework' section in the gradebook. All homework grades will be averaged together at the end of each grading period and will be counted as one daily grade.

**Cell Phones**
Student cell phones should be turned off and stored in their backpack. There should be NO CELL PHONES out while in the building. Students may use their phones before entering or after leaving the building to notify parents of their arrival/departure for safety purposes.
