What's Happening This Week:
October 27 - 31, 2014

Reading:We are working on media literacy this week by studying messages in advertising and on products. How do the messages we see influence us? Next week, we will begin our informational expository genre study.

Writing:We are finishing our personal narrative unit and working on leads, endings, elaboration, and finding the heart of our story. Next week, we will begin learning about expository writing and how it is different from personal narrative.

Word Study: We are working on the long i sound (ie, igh, i).

Social Studies: We are learning about the structure of our goverment and the roles of the three branches of government.
