5th & 6th Grade Resource Math
Our Class abides by the following rules:
Our classroom procedures are as follows:
Math Review is a warm up the first 15 minutes of class.
After 2 weeks of practicing specific math skills repetitively, there is a Math Review Quiz.
New skills are then placed on the next Math Review once the current skills are mastered.
Skills needing more than 2 weeks, will be re-taught, then placed on the Math Review again.
Interactive Student Notebook (ISN):
All students are given a composition book which is their ISN.
This book contains charts, math vocabulary words, and examples of all work we do in class.
This notebook can be taken home to help them with homework.
Check your Planner!
Everyday, your child will write in their planner what mathematical concept is being addressed that day, and if there is homework.
(Most homework will consist of unfinished classwork)
Students are encouraged to bring home their ISN to assist with homework, as well as their Math Folder
