Week February 20 - 24, 2017

Monday:  Holiday   New set of vocabulary words.  Root word is "mal, male" = bad; abnormal; worse.  

Tuesday:  New set of vocabulary words.  Root word is "mal, male" = bad; abnormal; worse.     Read 20 minutes daily and write a summary in the space provided.  Students have 10 words to study.  They will use the word in a sentence and illustrate it as well.  We will have a vocabulary test on Friday.
Wednesday:  Read 20 and write a summary in your log.  Review vocabulary words.

Thursday:  Read 20 minutes and write a summary.  Don't forget to initial their reading logs. Remind them to study for their vocabulary quiz.  

Friday:  Collect reading logs, and take vocabulary quiz.

Words for this week:  dismal, malady, malaria, malefactor, malevolent, malfeasance, malice, malignant, malnourished, malodorous

Also, many of our students are low on their school supplies.  Check with them to see if they have pencils, glue stick and markers.

We are in need of donations for our treasure chest.  Items can be, but not limited to:  pencils, erasers, candy, small toys, chips, snacks, and any other items you can think of that the children will enjoy.  Thanks for all of your support.
